Below you will find a list of scholarships listed in order of the month that they are due. This is not a complete list and will constantly be changing. Check back periodically to see if any new scholarships have been posted. There are also scholarships listed on the Ballard R-2 Website.

Requirements:
*3.0 GPA
*Participate in Volleyball, Basketball, Baseball, or Softball
*Be a leader in school and in the community and serve as a role model for underclassmen
AES Engineering Solutions Scholarship- Due October 5, 2020 ***Do not have to major in engineering!***
Horatio Alger Scholarship- Due October 25, 2020

Requirements:
*3.75 GPA
*Filed FAFSA- EFC less than $6500
Soil and Water Conservation Society- Show Me Chapter Scholarship- Due November 30, 2020
Requirements:
* Must plan on majoring in conservation or natural resources-related field
Missouri Association of Fairs & Festivals- Due November 28
* Must have participated in one of the listed fairs (see application)

*Accepted and plan to attend the University of Missouri

Reagan Foundation Scholarship Program - Due January 3
National FFA Scholarship_ - Due January 15
Charles P. Bell Grants and Scholarship - Due January 31
Requirements:
*Must plan on being involved in the management of natural resources, specifically, fish, wildlife,
soil, or water.
Conservation Foundation of Missouri Scholarship- Due January 31
Ed Stegner National Resource Scholarships - Due January 31
Requirements:
*Must plan on majoring in one five areas of natural resource management:
forestry, wildlife, parks and recreation and soil and water conservation.
Elks National Foundation - Legacy Scholarship - Due January 31
Requirements:
*Any child or grandchild (or step-child, step-grandchild, or legal ward) of a living Elk who joined
the order on or before April 1, 2013, or a charter member of a Lodge that was instituted on or
after April 1, 2013, is eligible to apply.
February
Youth in Agriculture Scholarship- Due February 01
Requirements:
*Must be active members of 4-H or FFA
*Must enroll in a Missouri community college or 4 year university
Bates County 4-H Scholarships- Due February 01
Missouri Conservation Agents Association Scholarship - Due February 01
Requirements:
* Must be pursuing a degree in Biology, Wildlife Management, Forestry, Fisheries, Ecology,
Agriculture, Criminal Justice or a field of study closely related.
Kansas City Associated Equipment Distributors- Due February 3
Requirements:
*Must pursue a career in heavy equipment and diesel engine repair
Missouri Corn Growers Association Scholarship- Due February 14
Ellis Foundation Scholarship- Due February 15, 2020 (See Mrs. Bridges to see if you qualify)
Missouri United School Insurance Council Scholarship (MUSIC)- Due February 21

Bates County Farm Bureau Scholarship- Due April 1, 2021
Sam and Rosalee Anderson Scholarship- Due April 1, 2021
Requirements:
*Must be graduating from a high school in Bates County, Missouri;
*Must have at least a 3.0 cumulative high school GPA;
*Must demonstrate financial need; and
*Must be enrolling in a four-year college or university to pursue a degree in either the educational or medical fields.
Crowder College Scholarships- Due April 1, 2021
The Butler Rotary Club Scholarships - Due April 1,
The Butler Rotary Club awards five scholarships to students who plan to attend a college or university next fall and who best exemplifies the attributes of service to school and community. Following is the list and any additional requirements for each scholarship.
- Charlie Fritts Memorial Scholarship: $500 to a male student.
- John R. & Mary I. Mills Memorial Scholarship: $1,000.
- David Allen Joiner Memorial Scholarship: $500
- Jolene Burch Memorial Scholarship: $500 to a female student, first preference to someone who plans to attend a vocational/technical school.
- Jim Hacker Memorial Scholarship: $500

American Legion- Shawn Voyles Memorial Scholarship- Due to counseling office by April 13, 2021

Must be a descendant of a veteran; must have attended a full session of Boys or Girls state; be unmarried; under the age of 21; current Missouri resident; and be a full-time student in an accredited college/university.
